how to create multiples of the same clip on one screen

juno

Question

In an old Creator program I could create multiples of the same video clip on one screen.  Since this old Creator does not load on Windows 10 I upgraded to Creator NXT PRO 7, but I cannot find this old feature of creating multiples of the same video clip on one screen.   Any suggestions ?

Have you tried the Multicamera Feature in Video Wave?  I'm surprised that you couldn't do it the old way.

For the Multicamera Feature only 16x9 is shown, which is ok with me.   However, I tried several times to use this feature and every time the computer locked up with the following message:

The instruction at 0x...….. referenced memory at 0x...….   the memory could not be read.   Click to terminate program.

I could not even terminate the program. Every time I had to restart the computer.   I am puzzled.

Turn off you antivirus (disconnect from the internet if desired), turn off all other running programs including any system tools (registry cleaners) and do a repair on the program.  Do not do a reinstall because you have a limited number of installs.

If that doesn't fix it, please post a dxdiag.exe evaluation on your computer.  It will tell us a lot about the health of your computer.  there is no personal information other than the name you give your computer.  My son calls his the POS computer.

Which old Creator version had this feature?

It does not finish the repair.    The Message is:   Win Installer

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.  Click OK or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'BOTApp.MSI" in box below

???????

It was either Creator 9 or 11

Please give the full name of the product. There was no "Creator 11" but there is a Roxio Creator 2011

Also there is a Easy media Creator 9  as well as a Roxio Creator 2009.

I will try to reinstall the version you used to see how the multiple clips on one screen was used. I don;t remember every seeing that feature.

You can of course create multiple clips on the screen using the overlay tracks but that is possible in every version.

Are you trying to use the program on a network?   Where did you get the program?   Please post the dxdiag.exe as asked.

.... and the answer to the question about network?

Your Windows installation has many problems.  You need to repair that first.  Look at the bottom of the dxdiag.exe file to see them.

I cannot interpret the problems you indicate with my window installation. This is my only active computer. Windows came preinstalled a few months ago. I have two other computers that I sometimes use off-line. The way I understand it the only "Network" is the WIFI connection to the printer.

Anyway, how would you fix the window installation if there is really something wrong?  I am not aware of any operational problems on this computer.

Juno,

have you tried the "Split Screen" function in NXT 7. It is a a new feature in NXT 7 and will do exactly what you want. It will take a bit of a learning/experimenting curve since the User Guide is very little help

I don't think any previous Roxio program had anything similar. As I said above, what you want can also be done by simply using 4 overlays over the main screen
