Why only 22minutes in convert section to m4v

Recommended Posts

My Network Hard drive died!!! I finally have time to convert my Library ! But Found out Toast 17 wouldn't work! So I upgraded to Toast 18 because of software issues! Yes I can convert my Disks to MP4 or such even used the H.264 and apple Tv and every thing else! But Hey, I can only get 22minutes and 55seconds out of my conversions! No matter what! any one else run into the issue! Am I missing something! I do not see any settings that I have not used! OR is this a issue! that still has bugs! I see others talking about the time issues but have not seen a solution?

Hello, I have to say that I am having the same problem in the "Convert" function. Only 22 minutes converts in some cases or 32 minutes in other cases. A 2-hour video was only converted 24 minutes. Another 50 minute video was converted to 32 minutes.
In 2015 I bought Toast 14, which always worked perfectly, although as the Mac operating system was updated, especially from High Sierra, conversions became a little slower, and with Mojave the application started to crash, reason why the conversions became complicated, so much so that after several attempts with interruptions of the conversion process, the conversion was finally completed. However, the system once warned that the software was not 100% compatible with Mojave, and with Catalina it would no longer work.
For that reason, I upgraded from Toast 14 to Toast 18, but now I am having the problem of truncated conversions.
This deserves a complaint as it is not acceptable for this to happen.

I'm having the same problem.  Haven't used Toast for almost a decade and got 18 last week to import some DVD's I can't afford to lose.  I can make copies to another disc OK, but when trying to covert it only captures 22 minutes in any format.  All sources are well over an hour to begin with.  On a brand new Mac Book Pro with the latest OS so that can't be the issue.  Help!
