Toast 18 Copy DVD with Compression Crashes

Hi... subject says it all.. I try to copy video to a DVD and compression is required and Toast Titanium 18 crashes.  Both in High Sierra and Catalina - exact same error:

 

While my Catalina boot has SIP disabled, my High Sierra boot as SIP enabled, so I know that's not it. I've attached the complete stacktrace, but here's the most relevant part:
