ROXIO MYDVD - ERROR CreatePixelShader not implemented

Stephen Boudreaux

In Roxio MYDVD creator...just bought it tonight and it's riddled with error messages and the tool is not intuitive or working well. The error message most prevalent is:

"Without_D3DX: VCPOverlays/OverlaysChroma.CreatePixelShader: CreatePixelShader not implemented."

What does that mean? Something else I have to download to make this work?

The software does NOT work properly in Windows 10 64bit environment.  When I finally did get to burn to disc, the audio distorted about halfway through the disc.  Need some feedback on how to fix all or need a refund, stat.
WIN 10 64BIT.

It would be a big help if you would post your dxdiag.exe evaluation of your computer.  There is no personal information except he name you gave your computer. It tell us about such things as CPU, Free Space, and most importantly near the end of the text file are some detected error messages that we might be able to eliminate.

Please post only the text file of the results; not the line by line evaluation.  Do not send the results to EA. Just post it here.

Follow the procedure carefully.  Make sure you understand it.

Note, this is a users group so we can't help you with a refund.  If you want to contact Roxio/Corel, go here.

I started getting this same error message today. NXT 7 has been working fine on my HP Z4 G4 (Win 10 Pro Version 1909 OS build 18363.1139) workstation creating DVDs. When I went to create a DVD today which was a simple modified version of one I did last week, it gave this error and the application froze when I try to preview, save as an ISO, or burn a disc.

WITHOUT_D3DX: VCPOverlays/Overlay Chroma.CreatePixelShader:CreatePixelShader not implemented

I upgraded to NXT 8 (MyDVD Build and it gives me the same error.

Problem solved by changing MyDVD settings to use software rendering instead of hardware rendering. My system uses an Nvidia P2200 GPU. My guess there is an incompatibility with this GPU. Did this setting get changed somehow last week? That's the mystery. In any case we're operational again.
