Seems they're not alone. Nero and Cyberlink come to mind.  New version number but very little changes.
Nero have had subtitle authoring under consideration for about five years.
I won't hold my breath.

I might have found the issue with blue-ray activation.  Take a look at my other post.  I was able to activate blu-ray.  The issue looks like it is with wi-fi.  Basically I turn the wi-fi off and on when activating and it finally activated.  See the solution on another post.
