tip11000

Question

Whenever I try to install Roxio Easy VHS to DVD Plus I get an error message saying "We Encountered a Problem While Installing: Roxio Easy VHS to DVD Plus" I am using an administrator account. I have tried disabling anti virus and firewall, and I have also tried installing in new administrator account. what do I do? I am including a screenshot of the error as well as the installation long.

Thanks

Tyler

This company does not care to help this be resolved. They wasted an hour of my time only to tell me they filled out a trouble ticket that I could have done myself in 2 minutes. Absolute baloney and they still haven't responded. So, here's what I found: I got the same error you guys did. It turns out the Windows 10 and 11 did an update, 1803 I think, and turned off the ability to use a dynamic program. There is a registry key that can be changed to override this protocol. When I changed the registry key, I attempted another clean install. Still got the same error message from Corel, but my event viewer gave a different message this time. It was "Product: Roxio Easy VHS to DVD Plus -- Error 1905.Module C:\Program Files (x86)\Roxio Easy VHS to DVD\AudioCodec\RxACMP4ALAC3.dll failed to unregister.  HRESULT -2147220472.  Contact your support personnel." At this point I reached out to Corel and they have NO ANSWER OR RESPONSE FOR THIS. Ugh, what a royal waste of time and money. If they ever give you a fix/patch, please share as it is evident the company couldn't care less. I'm still doing independent investigating to fix the issue, but I haven't found a good solution yet. A fully registered, legally purchased product SHOULD NOT be this difficult to load on a computer.
