Roxio Creator NXT5

I have just recently gotten this and when I tell it that I want to copy a DVD, it seems to make the temporary file from the original disc. Then after I have put in a blank DVD, it acts like it is copying but after waiting awhile the disc is ejected and there is a message that it failed to copy but I can try it again. Does anyone have any idea of what is going on? Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Christy

There are a lot of possibilities so you have to test them out  

1) Is the original disc copy protected?
2) Does your writer (drive) have the capability of writing to that kind of diisc? (DVD, cd, blue ray, etc)
3) Is the disc compatable +r or -R
4) Is the new disc fresh out of the box? 
5) NTSC vs PAL (location)

Answer those questions and I'm sure others will have quick questions

By the way, where did you get the old NXT 5.  Roxio/Corel is up to NXT9.
