Digital purchase, 'the product key you entered is not valid, please re-type your product key'

Question

I immediately regret this purchase; go to install and it's a bottle-neck at the 2mb download widget. 'the product key you entered is not valid, please re-type your product key' Key was copy and pasted from their email/typed direct from keyboard/typed into then copied and pasted without dash marks from a text file;  'the product key you entered is not valid, please re-type your product key'...............................................

Hello Rageaholic,

If you regret the purchase and you bought it directly from Roxio, you might want to use Roxio's 30-day money back promise  You'll need to go directly back to the agency you purchased it from and request a refund through them.

I'm sorry, but we here on the bulletin board can't help you with that.   We are users of the software trying to help each other, and are not Roxio employees nor do we speak for Roxio.

If you bought it from an on-seller such as Costco, the software may have to be activated at the register for it to validate the key.   In that case you should return to the point of sale and speak with them.
