cdanteek
But you can only buy 9999 of them (see page). I hate that when they put limits on a sale! Version 10 is out, but like alot of new version software waiting 6 months to work out the bugs is a good idea. cdanteek
golinux
My Version 8 still gets the job done just fine. This push to constantly update software makes my head spin and "them" richer. Who needs it?? Still happily using EMC 7.5 too. And analog TV . . . yada, yada.
lynn98109
I think it has something to do with keeping the programmers from having to draw unemployment At some point, as with the SuperSonicTransport, push is going to come to shove. In that case, Boeing shut down that entire line and let Airbus beat them to it (and take the losses ) Lynn
grandpabruce
I still use Norton Ghost from the 2003 version of SystemWorks Pro. Nothing better than putting that little floppy in and backing up to your heart's content. I don't have the need to change, even if they were giving it away for free. I too was a Ghost user as well as Systemworks user. I've switched to Acronis and System Mechanic (thanks Steve) and like both better. I found that SystemWorks, while very good, was just way to bloated by the time I went to 2005. I've liked most Norton products and still use NAV but even there I'm likely to change. However, Partition Magic is my friend.

I'm the same as you both to Bruce and Paul, when you beta test lots of apps like EMC and other things like Office 2007 ect, you regally need to roll back to a clean system, and nothing works as well as Ghost 2003, and I'm the same Bruce to on the booting off the 3.5 floppy to recover if you cannot boot ect... Good product, shame they changed it to in later releases.

If I had a 500GB drive and only 1GB of data on it, the PQDI image would be 500GB. Sigh... now I need to go buy a new image app.
Beerman
Acronis Disc Director 10 suite is out and works with Vista. Also True Image Home 10 is out and that's why 9 is on sale.
