Dyana
Oh man I hope someone can help fast! I am on a deadline for this production & I'm not sure why I am all the sudden having this problem. I have a slideshow I have created in Video Wave, I had 1 song in the show then I deleted it, went to sound editor & joined that song with another. I know it is all saved properly (correct format) & so forth, but everytime I try to add the new song file it shuts down Video Wave. I started a new production just to see if it would allow me to add it & it is still shutting down Video Wave. What in the heck is going on? Any help will help...Thank you!!! sknis
It is in a wav file & I did make the purchase off line. I just purchased the song & then used sound creator to reformat it & unlock it. I figured I would have to do a clean install. Napster shouldnt affect EMC 8 should it? Early Napster did but not the newer ones. Yep, sounds like you have a DRM issues. For private use only, burn that music to a CD (RW) using Napster if that is where you got the music) and then import it onto your computer put it in a different folder so you know which one it is. You can then use it directly or use it in Sound Editor to add it to the first music. See image for shortcut.

As soon as I open the folder it freezes & forces me to close that file. I started a new production & added just a few pics to see if it was just that file but it wouldnt let me add it there either. I also already have the music un-write protected (if thats a word). Any other suggestions? Thanks you!

REDWAGON
I'm curious to know about the first production you started. You suggested that you had everything working when you had the first audio file added, and then decided to delete it. Did you get that first audio file the same place you got the second one ? and did you use Sound Editor to change it to a wav file or have to change it in any way before you used it ? Have you tried just using the second audio file by itself, to the production without the first one ? The only suggestion I might have is to use Sound Editor to change or edit each audio file by itself and save it. Then after both have individually been brought into Sound Editor and edited and saved, then try each one individually in your production. If each one can be added individually without the problem, then go back and use sound editor again to join the two and save as a different name either as a wav file or MP3 and try that. All suggestions that may or may not help. Frank....

I guess I'll try a clean install & go from there. Thanks again!!!!
REDWAGON
Well if your Videowave program will not let you add ANY audio file no matter where it came from or what type it is, then you probably do have other problems. Let us know how you make out by re-installing your program. Frank....

You say you saved it in the correct format but didn't specify which one. For VideoWave, most of the time it will take wav files but hiccup on some mp3 or other formats. I assume that the music wasn't purchased from an on-line music store, correct? When I worked, IT always used to tell me to reboot whenever I had a problem. I assume you have already done that. You might want to do a Windows> Control Panel> Remove programs> install/repair just in case something got hung up.
