Question

Ijust got EMC 9 and I cant figure-out how to import recorded tv from media center. I realize this question has probably been asked if not simple as anything, but i'm a little on the simple side myself. Or is it possible that I lost something during installation because I left MyDVD 6 on my machine when I installed EMC 9 ? Thanks in advance for any help. :)

You just need to know WHERE the dvr-ms file on the hard drive. The default is usually in a folder like:

C:\Recorded TV

This folder could be anywhere and can be changed in the Media Center Settings. I added a 250gig hard drive which is my drive E: so that is where my TV shows are recorded now. I believe someone else posted that it was in My Documents\Recorded TV on their machine. So when you find out that info:

Open Videowave

Add Image/Video and find the dvr-ms file with Media Selector

Then Click OK. Videowave will ask you to convert it and where you want to save the copy which should default to My Documents\My Videos.
