Program shuts down

Hey guys.

 

I've been trying to burn a DVD for a while now and I keep having the same problem. I'm using 'Disc copier' (EMC 7) and browsing for the folder that was created when I used DVD shrink to back up the DVD to my hard drive (how I've done every other DVD so far). When I go to browse the file that the folder is in, the entire program shuts down.

 

I've uninstalled and then reinstalled, updated everything, re ripped the DVD, and no luck with anything. This is the only DVD I have had any problems with. I don't know if this is important or not, but this DVD comes from a series and this is the last from that series I have left to burn and it is the only one I have had any problems with.

 

Any help is really appreciated.

Just to clarify:

1) You use DVDShrink to copy the content of the DVD to your hard drive

2) Then you use DiscCopier to burn the files created on the hard drive in step 1 above to a DVD

 

If you copy the content of the series DVD onto your hard drive using Windows Explorer, are you able to burn the those files from the hard drive with DiscCopier?

I tried doing just that (I hadn't before) and I get this error as the files are copying:

 

Cannot create or replace VTS_01_0: File System Error (-2147351799).

Copy protection on the episodic DVD!

Why would it do that with only one DVD and none of the other ones?

That question would be best addressed by the studio that had the DVD mastered. Commercial DVD's have copy protection. In the US it is illegal to circumvent that protection. Men in dark suits come knocking on doors.
