dlmohn
I've tried everything I can think of to submit an email to support, but have been TOTALLY unable to get past your spammer protection at http://selfserve.roxio.com/Login.aspx?a=RO...amp;b=WebTicket . I tried my default browser FF 2.0, then Netscape 7.2, then even IE 5.5. NONE of them were successful. i.e. your server did not seem to want to accept the submitted data. Now, I WAS able to login successfully, but every time I tried to access your site in some way to leave a message ( e.g. on your Forums), I was asked to again (and again) log in. The Forums login gave me the same result as your WebTicket page--nada, nyet, nein! This is NOT the way to run Tech Support for a long time REGISTERED customer! Finally, if this message can be rerouted to the appropriate person, I'd greatly appreciate it. My problem is, that my Easy CD 5 Platinum CD disk has become damaged and I desparately need to do a reinstall. Is there ANY way I can get a replacement CD, or--better yet--download the files from your site? Thanks for any help you can give. And PLEASE, get that webpage to function properly! Their is no download available from Roxio.
Guest mlpasley
We don't work for Roxio unless there is a Roxio emblem under the username. Unfortunately, support for version 5 has ended. Roxio is now on version 9. As ogdens suggested, you can probably pick up a cheap copy online. Roxio is now on version 9. As ogdens suggested, you can probably pick up a cheap copy online. That's fine (kinda <sigh>), but version 9 won't run on win 98. I'd try the upgrade to 5.3.5 but can't get past Roxio's login page. Is there ANYone at Roxio that I can email directly about this login page snafu? As soon as I click on the download button, it redirects me to login at http://www.roxio.com/Registration/login.as...?download_id=22 but after supplying the needed ID etc. the page just hangs. regards
lynn98109
Ah. Now that is an entirely different problem. If you had checked the pinned topics at the top of the Forum, you wold have found the following section of FREQUENT ANSWERS: Problems downloading update files: Temporaily turn off pop-up blockers (it is a pop-up), advertising filters (it has the word "promotion" in it), firewalls (including the Microsoft one, if you have it and it has been activated by a Microsoft update without your knowledge or consent). If that doesn't work, temporarily turn off the Virus-scanner. If that doesn't work, some people have been successful by trying a different browser, such as Firefox or Opera. Both can be downloaded free; Firefox is around 4.5MB, and Opera is a little over 3MB. (Digital Guru d_deweywright reports that when using Opera, it is necessary to enable the Referrer Logging, and actually restart the browser.) Have you tried that? Guest mlpasley
That's fine (kinda <sigh>), but version 9 won't run on win 98. Sorry. I wasn't clear. I meant that you could probably buy another copy of version 5 online from a retailer. You could also try calling Customer Service: "You can contact Customer Service at 1 866 280 7694, Monday - Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., EST - excluding Roxio holidays." If you had checked the pinned topics at the top of the Forum, you wold have found the following section of FREQUENT ANSWERS: Have you tried that? Lynn Thanks, but been there, done that! Tried 3 diff browsers, including IE 5.5 that is totally unprotected. Even turned off my antivirus & firewall. However, used my wife's 'puter and succeeded. Really, Roxio's got to do better. They're the only company I know that gives so much trouble to acccess their site/support staff.
