This is the first time I've used Roxio VHS to DVD 3 Plus. I have an 8mm Sony Camcorder, outputting via RCA to the Roxio Capture USB device plugged into an ASUS Laptop.
Everything seems to work except when capturing tape there are horizontal ripples down the whole capture screen, and captured file. I've tried the following to test.
1. Camcorder (8mm Tape Playing) to Roxio = Ripples
2. Camcorder (Live Output) to Roxio = No Ripples (all that's changes is I switch the camcorder to record mode rather than player, and am capturing the live output)
3. Camcorder (8mm Tape Playing) to TV (RCA to Scart) = No Ripples
4. Camcorder (Live Output) to to TV (RCA to Scart) = No Ripples
That seems to show that none of the components is malfunctioning, but it only occurs when its tape to capture device (the one thing I bought it for!)
