Oliver
Hi, I am copying a disc in Toast 7, I have a 16x burner, and 16x media. Toast says it will take 3min 10 sec. But it actually takes 12 min in real time. Not sure what could be the trouble.... Has anyone seen this before?

Oliver
Does the 12 min. include verify time? No, it does not include verify time. It almost seems that it is burning at 2x! But Toast says it is burning at 16x, but that cannot be.
John at Roxio
I bet the buffer underrun prevention is being used. It may be that your system is unable to keep up with the 16x burn speed and we are constantly needing to refill the buffer on the drive and continue burning the disc. I, too, had this issue ... it is Toast 7.1.2 specific ... went backto version 7.1 and speed returned to "normal." Mac Pro 2.66 4g RAM with Sony DVD-RW that came with machine ... capable of 16x writing
