problem to burn a data disc

Can anyone help me? I have a problem for burning a data disc using the Roxio Digital Media SE. I am using a virgin dvd 8x 4.7 gb, the process of burning goes well, but when i tried to put the dvd (nurned) on my dvd player to see it on the tv the dvd player doesn´t recognize it.

 

 

So, i checked on the options and there are some things that i dont know:

 

Type: (3 options)

 

Tao open, tao close and dao close

 

Mode: (2 options)

 

Mode 1 and Mode 2xa

 

Archive system: (3 options)

 

Iso+joliet, iso+joliet+udf and iso level 2

 

 

I think the appropiate options will be choosing:

 

DAO CLOSE, MODE 1 AND ISO+JOLIET+UDF no?

 

 

Or can anyone help me to solve my problem? Thanks.

A DATA DISK? Normally that won't play on a DVD player.

I saw a post once where Brendon mentioned having a DVD player that reads anything.

 

I don't think that'll help this poster out though. Just saying....

I remember that too vid2man97. It was a Phillips DVD player

if I remember correct. Another advantage of living in the South Pacific!

Yes, good memory..... Phillips DVP640K.

 

advantages...DVD players that play anything...good weather....I'm sure there are many more....
