AVI compression

Boiler

Question

Hi All,

I am a bit of a novice to all this, so please forgive me if this is obvious. I have lots of AVI files which i would like to put onto DVD, the main thing is i would like all the related files to go onto the same disc. My question really is can Popcorn comress AVI files enough? The first one i tried to do was 4.95GB to go on 4.7GB(which gives you not quite that, i think), can this be done?

Cheers

Are you trying to make video DVDs to play on a video DVD player or are you trying to copy the AVI's to DVD for storage? If it is the former then Toast can't do that. It has no way to author a VIDEO_TS folder required for video DVD. It can only copy (and compress, if needed) existing VIDEO_TS folders. What exactly did you do wth the AVI to get the 4.95 GB file?
