Cannot add new "titles" to DVD Menu for slideshow

Lyndon

Question

I have 7.5, with all updates. I am trying to create a DVD slide show. When I start a project and select "add new title" to the main title menu 1, I get to the point where I select one or more photo files, then click on "add." Nothing happens. I can drag/drop a picture onto the menu title window, and a button template shows up until I drop it. Then it goes away. Also, the production editor below never contains anything and is unusable. I did a total uninstall and re-install, but the same thing happens. Can you help me?

Thanks.

Have you recently installed IE 7 by chance? If so you'll need to uninstall it, as it is not compatible with EMC 7.5

Are you using DVD Builder to create your slideshow , MyDVD Slideshow, or StoryBoard?

If you're using DVD Builder, try using VideoWave instead.

Yes, I'm using DVDMaker. I really liked the test DVD it created earlier - very good resolution. Is VideoWave of the same quality?

And, yes, I just installed IE 7 - I think you are right in that the trouble started after that, but I didn't associate the two. Is EMC 9 compatible with IE7, or when will they be?

Thanks to both of you.

Yes EMC 9 and IE 7 work fine together. Keep in mind tho if you are considering upgrading, v 7 projects are not usable in v 9.

VideoWave is the same quality as DVD BUILDER. You make the productions in VideoWave, hit the Burn button and that will open up DVD Builder for burning.

MyDVD Slideshow is a different program which is part of the EMC7 suite. If that isn't working after installing IE7, then my guess would be that it broke that program too.

The simplest solution would be to uninstall IE7 and reinstall IE6. EMC7 is not the only program that IE7 'breaks.'
