Question

I need assistance with the ROXIO Video Capture USB device and software.

I unable to install the ROXIO Video Capture USB device hardware and software for use with a Mac Mini (intel processor) running macOS Mojave (10.14.6) (32bit and 64 bit compatible). I am able to install the software (MyDVD.app and Roxio Video Capture.app in a folder titled VHS to DVD, on the Mac Mini. When I run the Roxio Video Capture application it does not recognize the VHS to USB hardware even though it shows up as a USB 2861 device:

USB 2861 Device:

  Product ID: 0xe302

  Vendor ID: 0x1b80

  Version: 1.00

  Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec

  Location ID: 0x14420000 / 9

  Current Available (mA): 500

  Current Required (mA): 500

  Extra Operating Current (mA): 0

When I run MyDVD.app it requests registration with the Product Key but does not accept the CD Key # printed on the CD envelope. When I enter the CD Key printed on the CD envelope the "Finish" button does not activate to complete the MyDVD.app registration process.

The ROXIO Video Capture USB device has 2 CDs:

1) One CD is titled: "roxio creator 2009 Special Edition";

2) The other CD is titled: "ROXIO VIDEO CAPTURE USB".

The envelope containing the CDs has a CD KEY # in the following format: letter, number - number, number, letter, letter, letter - letter, letter, letter, letter, letter - letter, letter, number, letter, letter.

The envelope containing the CDs also has a TSID # consisting of 12 numbers.

The CD envelope has the following additional information on it:

1) P/N: 150317-00EF

2) Roxio Creator 2009 SE/EF

3) WM904A3479

How can I get the hardware and software to work?
