No Picture in Video Trimmer or Image Preview

Sol Rosenberg

Question

Hi,

I'm running EMC 8, and I'm building a video/still image project in videowave 8. I have successfully added about 70 pictures which I was able to open in Image Preview and crop or rotate if needed, and about 20 video clips, all of which I was able to open in the video trimmer and adjust the duration. However, I have just added a new batch of about 11 photos and 5 videos. I can't open them in image preview or video trimmer. Image preview says "No Image" and video trimmer just shows a black screen and will not play even though the play button is usable. Also, some of the older videos that I have already trimmed now will not open in video trimmer. Any ideas?

I'm taking a wild guess since you did not provide much in the way of information on your computer or which version of V8 you have. In VideoWave, go to tools> options and set the render to software. See if that helps. You may lose some transitions that are 3D. If that helps, update your video card to have the latest drivers. Preview problems like this usually are because of video card problems. Please reply with what version you are using - Suite or Deluxe and some information on your computer. You can get a lot of information from Belarc Adviser (free download). Your video card/chip information is as important than anything else you post. To see what version you have, in VideoWave, go to help about . If you have the deluxe, the build number is 8.06XXX. If you have the suite, it will be either 8.00 or 8.05. If it is 8.00, I think there is an update that you should install.
