Videowave won't load properly

ferrous

Question

I have Videowave installed on both my computers at home. On one of them it opens beautifully, but on the other, which is the better computer, it doesn't load properly. It opens, but I can't do anything with it. I have used it before with no problems. I captured a video from my digital camera and when I went to edit it, Videowave wouldn't work.

First, check that new computer for spyware. Frequently, spyware causes problems with VideoWave.

Then check to see if Windows downloaded and installed Internet Explorer 7. It 'breaks' EMC7 and you need to uninstall IE7 and reinstall IE 6.

If that doesn't work, try a Windows Add Remove Programs\ Roxio EMC7\ Change\ REPAIR.

It's possible one of the files has become corrupt.

Will the repair operate by itself or will I need to insert the original EMC disc? Another words, in more detail what is entailed?

Thanks.

What kind of problems are you having? Usually something else is causing problems, but occasionally a file will get damaged.

The repair usually will not need the original disks, but that depends on what it needs to repair.

Do a Windows Add Remove Programs\ Roxio EMC7\ Change\ REPAIR.
