zero7
I see there is a lot of discussion about Error 000D when trying to reinstall EMC8 but don't see any answers. Is there one? I would like to know as this is happening to me.
bimicher
Thanks for getting back. I have Windows XP Home SP2 all up-to-date and 9.89Gb free space. Is there anything else you require? I doubt very much that 9.89GB of free space are enought to run EMC 8 even if you do get it installed. You might be able to do a bit of data copying and even burn some audio CDs but no video work. gi7omy
There are a couple of reasons for that error - can you send us your conmputer specs and also how much free space remains on your C drive?

zero7
I have started to remove unwanted files. How much space do you think I require? I have noticed that although Windows delete reports that it has removed EMC8, if I use a more robust delete application it shows: Roxio CinePlayer Roxio Creator Suite Home Roxio DVD Info Pro Roxio RecordNowAudio Roxio RecordNowCopy Roxio RecordNowData Roxio RecordNowTools I rechecked the register and although no Roxio and Sonic entries appear under HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software and HKEY_LOCAL_USER Software, there are several reference to them under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. The latter is not mentioned in the Roxio notes about a clean removal of all traces of Roxio and Sonic. Should I use the more robust application removal tool and also remove additional references found under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT. In the meantime I will continue to increase the free space available on my PC. Again, thanks for your help.
