DVD burning

Adman

Question

Hope someone can be of help, when attempting to burn a DVD, I get a message "the contents of this Video-TS folder cannot be compress", this gives me the same message when I turn-off the "fit to DVD compression", is this a toast or idvd issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Was your source VIDEO_TS created by iDVD? If it is a dual-layer-sized VIDEO_TS created in iDVD then it may not be able to be compressed to fit a single-layer disc. The reason is that iDVD uses uncompressed audio and Toast only compresses the video. If the audio takes up most of the single-layer disc, there isn't enough room left for the video.

But that might not be the reason for your problem. Provide more details about what steps you've taken.

You are in the Toast Data window. Choose Mac & PC. Click New Disc. Add your MPEG 4 videos. Burn the disc.

Question: can the MPEG 4 file be seen on the PC but not played, or is it that the disc doesn't mount and show the file on the PC?
