how to remove integration in quicktask bar

quick77

Question

after installing Easy Media Creator 9, the option "move or rename audio file" appeared in the right-click-on-Start QuickLaunch bar. Is there any way to remove this. I have searched but have found nothing that allows me to remove this. I really hate when intrusive programs integrates like this without asking!

Thanks.

I had a similar problem with some system folder shortcuts: instead of open as the default action when clicking on the short cut, 'Move or rename files' had set itself as the default, so opened that window when I clicked on the shortcut.

I solved it by deleting this key in the registry:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\RXDCExtSvr

That removes Move or rename files from all folder context menus, so the option is no longer available, but I never used it anyway..

Export the registry key to a .reg file fist as a backup in case you want to put it back.

Right click on it, and select Delete.

There are also some other VERY annoying instances of the "Move or Rename" selection in the context menus which I removed similarly:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\...

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\...

Thanks (again) for this one jeanrosenfeld...
