Can not burn DVD from production movie

Does anyone know why a DVD+RW disc can be burned from a movie production without a problem, but a DVD+R disc can not be burned? This has not happened before. I have shut down videowave and my computer and started from scratch, but this does not help. I've tried three DVD+R discs without luck. I'm at a loss why this has happened. I am using Media Creator 8 on my Dell 4400 computer. The production is 42 minutes long. Most of my other movies are about 55 minutes long and do not cause a problem. I can play the production on my computer without a problem also. The burn begins but stops about 10% of the way to completion each time I've tried a new disc.

You could try updating the firmware on your burner and try a different brand of +R media. What brand are you using, and what error message, if any, are you getting?

 

I'm not getting any error massage. I'm using HP DVD+R discs which I have been using for at least a year without problems. I made a DVD+RW of the same movie that is just fine. When I try to burn another disc of the same movie, the burning process stops about 10% of the way in. I've tried to burn three discs with the same results. This has not happened before. I'm at a loss as to what to do.

 

I'm using Creative Media 8 in Videowave. There is no update for this softwear. There is a new version that is not any different from what I have or would want because I don't need all the new bells and whistles.
