Uploading DVD file to website

marynabors

Question

I burned a slideshow to a DVD on my laptop using Easy Media Creator 7.0. I am trying to upload the file on my PC but the file extension VOB and BUP will not play on my website. Is there a way to transfer the files as a Windows Media Player file? Is there something else I need to do when burning it to a disc?

Any advice is helpful. It is a 15 minute slideshow I have worked on for two months. Unfortunately, my website program is only on my PC:(

You have to use Videowave to output your production to a wmv file or there maybe an option to output suitable for "internet". Since I no longer have EMC 7 installed I am not sure what output options are available but maybe someone else will jump in with that information

Not sure if this is what you were describing Walt, but these are the options you get when in EMC 7.5 (updated) and after finishing a production, by clicking on the Icon that looks like a small film reel. Anyway, I hope this helps the OP.

Yes, that is what I am referring to but I don't know if it is the same in EMC 7.

The internet option is there in both 7.1 and 7.5.

It's under File\ Output production to...... in VideoWave.

There are other options if you choose Video File \ Show All. If the internet option doesn't meet the requirements of the website, there should be something under Show All that will meet the requirements.

Thanks for the additional information ml. I have 7.5, 8 and 9 all running on different computers but have my 7 version on the shelf, so couldn't address the problem for 7. I will assume that the OP should have enough information now to solve the problerm. If not, I hope we hear back from her.

You're welcome.

Actually, I think this is the second question we've had this month about outputting for a website. Must be the word is spreading about utube. :)
