So is this program worthless if you only have one dvd tray and no external burner?

Question

Well, is it? I cant believe you have to use the cd with burning software, that makes no sense. If anyone has any idea how I can get any use out of this 100 dollar piece of crap please let me know. And by the way, how could this be the seventh edition and they have yet to realize they should make it no cd neccesary so u can at least have an extra disc drive if you do have multiples. I, of course, do not which is the source of my problem. Thx

Huh? Toast works with a single drive. When there's only one drive and you're trying to copy a disc Toast writes a temporary image file of the source disc to the hard drive, ejects the source and asks you to insert blank media which it then burns the copy to. You also can choose Save as Disc image to make a copy of the original (using the Copy window) and then burn multiple copies from that saved disc image file.

I'm pretty sure this is explained in Toast Help and in the Getting Started Guide.

I am not sure what you are talking about. You don't need the app CD if you dragged the Toast icon to your Applications folder when you installed Toast. Sounds like you didn't do that.
