Access to more than two audio tracks

fhoss

Question

In 7.5, using videowave, one could use any one of several audio tracks, including the narration track, to add music to your production. [useful, as I learned from this forum, in smoothly going from one piece of music to another]. It could be done by simply clicking on the selected piece and dragging it to the desired audio track.

In EMC 9, at least as far as I can tell, you can not drag the music into a track. Instead you are given just two options when you open a selection, "Do you want to put it on the music track or sound effect tract?" [there is an option dealing with internal tracks not relevant here].

Is there any way to have additional audio tracks available?

Thank you very much. I did as you suggested and was able to drag the desired selection to another audio track. I was just using "Add background audio" which only gave me the two options. Being able to get such quick answers to problems continues to make this forum such as nice addition to the software.

You are welcome. I'm glad that I was able to help. :)

You have three external audio tracks in addition to the native track. In VideoWave, click on the icon to see all tracks and select all the audio tracks. Then OK. Click on "Show Media Selector" (about half way down on the left) Navigate to your music and drag it to the track where you want the music. I just tried it and it worked. Are you selecting 'Add background audio"? You only get the two options, not counting the internal track.
