Toast 7 v. Easy Media Creator 9

McGrandma

Question

I have just added a Mac Mini to my computer array to use exclusively for media projects. I used Easy Media Creator on my PC to make video CDs and DVDs for family and friends with photos, transitions and music background. Is Toast just EMC for Mac's? I would like comment from anyone who has used both Easy Media Creator and Toast?

I also worked very much on a Windows PC (and still) also with Roxio/Sonic software.

EMC is much broader than Toast. I also have asked in this forum whether I would be able to convert or use my EMC/MyDVD menu styles in Toast, but no reply yet. I assume it is not possible.

This is very pitty, since the templates/styles in Roxio Windows programs are much nicer than the MAC versions.

I also wanted to use my MAC (bought in Summer 2006) for media projects, but it turns out that I still use the PC very much, because for example for the fact that the PC can work with MPEG-2 fiels and that the styles/templates in Toast are VERY old fashioned and out of date.
