Trouble Burning and Audio DVD

inboardshooter

Question

Ok here we go. What I want to do is burn about 85 songs onto a dvd. I want it to be at cd quality, no less, or if possible better. I know it could be better if I got a dual layer disc but I don't want to have to go buy a whole pack just to use one. I have a playlist in Itunes and that is what I want to burn. I converted them to mp3 so Roxio could recognize it, it didn't work as how they were. Now when I imported them all the track information is messed up. I used the automatic information retrieval feature and a lot of it is wrong. It isn't what it is supposed to be, I want it to be what Itunes sets it at. Now is there a way to download the right information or automatically import it from Itunes? And can you even burn it at cd quality? Thank you for your help.

I got mine to work by popping in and out of that confusing Tag Editor we get. Even then, I could not get the CD-TEXT to work at all, this is so bogus. My advise is it is not worth it man! I mean really, do you want to look at disk 2 track 15 or would you rather see: Disk 2 Track 15 "CD-TEXT" value?

I second that emotion :)

Be aware that the audio on DVD is actually just a video DVD with still images. The default is AC3 STEREO. Surround sound is not supported. Yes, the quality would be at least 'CD' quality. For best reproduction, make sure you export from iTunes using the highest possible bitrate for MP3 (320kbps). This would give Music Disc Creator a better chance to recompress into AC3 audio. I'm surprised that iTunes doesn't export the TAG ID info with MP3 files. Music Disc Creator will use any embedded Tag ID info in the MP3 files. See if you can get iTunes to do that. Would make things much easier.
