increase volume

hi i am trying to put a vhs home movie onto dvd but when the movie was filmed the volume is quite low so when i burn it onto dvd the volume has to be turned right up is there a way of increasing the volume so it plays louder after it is burned onto dvd many thanks.

check the volume contyrol settings in windows - you may have to move the sliders up for the line in (and don't forget to mute the mic' settings or you may run into feedback or stray noise if you haver a mic plugged in)
