Videowave 8 and TODO prompts

keithie

Question

Hello and thanks for trying to help first off.

Here is what is going on. I bought a dvd burner that came with a ROXIO CREATOR 8.2 XE. I uploaded it. I then clicked on the tab DVD & Video. My first problem came when I clicked on the sub-tab Create DVD. The screen came up for it and I had a hourglass symbol for about a minute then a windows pop window came up with a Videowave 8 has encountered a problem.

So I tryed to click on the QUICK dvd sub-tab. It came up with a window pop up that that said TODO <file description> has encountered a problem.

The rest of the sub-tabs in the DVD & Video work as advertised.

I have A; uninstalled and reinstalled the disk with the same problems. B; Returned product and got new one and installed new disk and have the same problem. uninstalled it and reinstalled it with same outcome.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

OH, I am runnning Windows XP on a dell inspiron lap top. The lap top is about three years old. As is my XP.

I have contacted both the maker of the dvd burner as well as roxio on the phone but to say I got the blow off would be an understatment. Thanks again.

keithie,

ROXIO CREATOR 8.2 XE. is a OEM product that came with your burner correct? It is not the retail version folks here have or buy. So the chances of someone having that version and problem are slim!

You mention a laptop they have a onboard video chip instead of a add on video card. That's where most problems are seen and in the system requirements of version 8. Go to Roxios home page and look at the requirements for v9 similar to v8.
