AC3 support in MyDVD

Kristian

Question

I have just purhased MyDVD 8 (Essentials) in order to make DVD disks from MPEG2 movies recorded on a KiSS VR-558 Hard disk recorder. Unfortunately the program states that it does not support AC3 sound files, thus only presenting the image.

It suggests to update, but to what?

Does anybody here know it the Premier edition of MyDVD support AC3?

There is a "AC3" button in the settings meny, but it is inactivt.

Roxio's homepage is pretty miserable regarding technical information, and the "Ask RoxANN" is absolutely not helpful.

Best Regards

Kristian :)

MyDVD Essentials is a basic type program, but I did not know that it did not support AC3 audio. If you update, you may as well go all the way to EMC 9.

BTW, MyDVD Premier, more than likely, does support AC3 audio. Maybe someone who has it will drop by and let you know.

Just make sure to read System Requirements befor buying something like EMC 9, to make sure your system can handle it :)
