Sorry to hijack this string but you mention that I would have to roll back to IE6 for D2D to work. That's okay but I don't particulary use it. Can't seem to not activate on start up either. is there a way to get rid of drag 2 disc from startup without rolling back?

I am having the same problem but with version 6 basic! Could this be the same?? I use Mozella so I do not know what IE version I have. I removed Sonic and loaded Easy cd/dvd creator 6 and "no Recorder" shows in D2D. If this is the problem Who do I roll back to IE 6?

Thanks

Roger

If you have IE 7, most of EMC 7 and EMC 7.5 won't work unless you roll back. You can uninstall Drag to Disc by going to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to Roxio EMC 7 or 7.5, then click on the Change button. Follow the prompts. You will get to where you see the install screen, click on the icon to the left of Drag to Disc, and select, this program will not be installed, or words to that affect. It will put an X by Drag to Disc. Click continue, and sit back until all is done.

Go into Add/Remove programs and uninstall IE 7.

Understand that all packet writers are the least reliable form of burning ever devised. If you accept the risk, so be it.

Have you allowed MS to upgrade you to IE7? If so you will have to rollback to IE6 for V7 to work again.

Could also be XP's affinity to lose drives whenever burning programs are uninstalled or installed. A check in the Device Manager would indicate any errors with your Burners.
