You may have to use Winamp or similar (presuming the station is running Shoutcast) to capture the audio to the hard drive first.

 

It's possible theer may be a difference in the codecs used so you will have to find some way to convart that to wav or mp3 and then use EMC to burn it

I have a Dell Dimension E52 running XP and SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC for sound. I've been trying to capture an internet radio sation without success. Any advice?

Many with onboard audio aren't able to do this. Make sure you have the latest drivers but I think you may need to either upgrade to a dedicated card or search the net for a program that is specifically designed to do what you want by other means.

I do remember a post recently by someone who gave a suggestion for a free program to do this but wasn't able to find it.

Yep, that's the one. Thanks Tony. I had thought it was free but now I remember the post that mentioned the irratating noise if you don't pay.

I hope if he tries it, he'll let us know how he likes it.
