Roxiio Disk Copier - Select Image or Folder

cirog50

Question

In Advanced window to Select Image or DVD-Video Folder, when selected, the Browse/Search Window gives no options, but says StringRef:ImportDLG.Addr. Even when you type in the name of the file you get nothing.

I made the mistake of loading IE7 and after removal, reinstalled EMC Suite 7.0. After two reinstalls and a "Repair" from Add or Remove Hardware, I still get same error in Selection Window.

Also, when I choose "Cancel", the Disk Copier program terminates.

It worked fine before the IE7 Install and removal.

Any other suggestions besides reinstalling again.

Is there a way to unistall and completely remove all references from "Registry"? That seems to be the only clear solution at this point.

Thansk for your help

Gene

:) OK...I found the solution!

Here is how to fix the Disk Copier SELECT DISC IMAGE Window not working...you know the problem...you get the window, but the Browse and Search Button do not work...

This is after stupidly installing IE7 then uninstalling it...which solved some other problems with EMC- DVD Builder Production window, to name one...but not the Disk Copier problem...

So here you go...

First Make Sure you have plenty of space on your C: Drive by cleaning up all innecesaary files, using Disk Cleanup first, then drilling into your MY DOCUMENTS folder and eliminating all the junk in it!

1) Uninstall IE7 Obviously

2) Uninstall then Reinstall EMC7.0

3) Go to Roxio Website and Download the Upgrade Patch for EMC7.0

4) Follow install directions and voila

...Disk Copier Select Function will work
