Updating audio drivers

Ksue44

Question

Hi All,

I am making a slide show of my trip to Africa in video wave. I'm getting ready to go to output with this project. So far, incorporating text and audio went fine, as I did those on the internal tracks.

In some of the posts it looks like before going to production that the audio drivers must be updated. I just bought this thing 4 weeks ago. How do I go about ensuring that I have the latest drivers?

This has been fun, but I have a hunch that I'm coming into murky waters as I go into output and get ready to produce the actual DVD.

I did write a post about the brand of DVD, but haven't heard on it. There's so many types out there, it's confusing.

Thanks everyone for your help, I appreciate it. I get the feeling, I'll be posting more Q & A's as I go along.

The HP drivers will be their latest - but as the chipset for the audio is Realtek, they may have more up to date drivers

You shouldn't need the recovery CDs at this stage - maybe after a little darling uses it as a frisbee for the dog you may - don't laugh, I've known it to happen :)

However, having said that, in all probability your 8/06 drivers will be fine but atr least you know where to look now should you need them in the future

Run Driver Magician once a month and never, ever, worry again!

Hi - here is what I discovered when I checked the link. I don't think I want the recovery disks. It looks like the original drivers were installed in 8/06. Does that mean there are new drivers out there? This is a tad bit confusing. Thanks for your help!
