`Edit disc" in MyDVD is not working.

skr

Question

I have the MyDVD software installed which came with Canon DC10. I made a DVD-video using it and now I want to

edit this. There is an option on the welcome page of MyDVD as `Edit disc'. After I click it, it asks to choose a folder in the DVD. I choose and click OK. It immediately prompts `Please select DVD root folder'. What does it mean?

It may just mean the top of the file structure and not one of the folders under the root (top of the structure).

I believe that this works with only certain types of discs. You are much better off going back and editing the original project which I hope you saved.

What version of MyDVD do you have? Many times the company supplying the software modify it for use so the edit DVD options may be talking about the original DVD from the camera. You may need to contact Canon for help with your version.

 I have MyDVD 6 and I have the same problem. I have tried the original DVD and every file above the root folder. Nothing works.

And why would you post in a 6 month old thread that concerns a product you don't even have???

You need to look at your software, see what version you actually have, then make a New Post, with details, in the right forum.
