Sound Editor to Record analog

I had Creator 6 and was able to record old records and cassettes without any problem. I changed computers, have Creator 7 and now Sound Editor does not work. I enabled line-in and the sound card check say's it is functioning fine. Yet, when I click on the Sound Editor button, the red record light doesn't turn on.

 

I tried reaching Roxio tech support through email and I'm sure it's possible but I sure can't figure it out.

 

I will appreciate suggestions.

Did you install Internet Explorer 7? That's been causing a lot of problems.

 

If so, roll back to IE6

 

Also, check the volume control settings on the new machine - right click on the task bar icon and go to properties. Make sure the Line in slider isn't down at the bottom and it doesn't have the 'mute' ticked
