Unable to install VideoWave 7

CharByte

Question

I have been having problems installing VideoWave 7 from the CD. It occurs in the Wizard where the window asks for name and place, all users or just me, when I click next, it no longer goes any further. The whole thing stops and when I cancel out, it would ask me about getting out of the installation mode. Does anyone have any I idea why?

This program did work this last summer until I had some updates from Microsoft and Internet Explorer 7 problem...I had quit all together when I was not getting no answers from Roxio or Microsoft at the time. But now, for Christmas, I would love to have this problem solved so we could return back to the projects we were involved with but have had to be placed on hold due to unusual problems.

Now, I have discovered the forums in Microsoft and Roxio. Plus, I finally got an answer from Roxio and have my account reset. I even downloaded an update for VideoWave 7 but I still have the problem in installing. I even uninstall Internet Explorer. I even blocked WGA with my ZoneAlarm to keep it from operating. But still no installing...Any suggestions? We do not have the finances to purchase the newer version VideoWave 9 that does have the capable features now with Internet Explorer 7.

I am really in great need of help...at the same time, I have asked Roxio for any solutions as well.

I am open for options...and to see if I am not the only one with the problem. I do have OS Windows XP by Dell...and the software is from Dell but no one is talking there right now...

Thanks,

Ready to get a big Byte!!!

You've uninstalled IE 7 from the Windows Add/remove programs and restarted your computer?

I'd suggest that you disconnect from the internet before installing the program. Exit any virus checking, firewall and spam programs before you install. If you only have one 'user account' in WinXP, choose to install for all users.

Also, remember that this program takes some time to install and you might be exiting too soon. Does the indicator light that shows the activity on your hard drive stop flickering?

 I've done what you have suggested and the flickering did stop for 20 minutes and still did not come back, regarding the flickering green light. So I went to see what type of message and it shows alert message Product: VideoWave 7 Professional -- Installation operation failed....I has error numbers and letters and directed me to go to Help and Support center at Microsoft...let you know what happens...thanks for the suggestion :)
