VideoWave transition error in Timeline mode

McNets

Question

Hi all,

After re-formating my pc, installing XP again and downloading the latest drivers for my video card I've detected a new "error" in VideoWave 9.

When I try to add a transition in Timeline mode, no matter what transition, between two images, I receive this error:

Tipo de suceso: Error

Origen del suceso: Application Error

Categoría del suceso: Ninguno

Id. suceso: 1000

Fecha: 19/12/2006

Hora: 16:29:59

Usuario: No disponible

Equipo: VP045

Descripción:

Aplicación con errores: videowave9.exe, versión: 9.0.2.16, módulo con error: vuisettings.dll, versión 9.0.2.16, dirección de error 0x0012c266.

However, if I select Storyline mode it woks fine.

Ok a solution could be to use Storyline mode everytime I need to change a transition but I would prefer another cute solution.

I am getting the exact same error when adding a transition in Timeline mode...except my error info is in english. It also does it when adding a new photo. I posted a support case with Roxio days ago and have not heard from them.

This is so repeatable that my rountine now requires saving my work BEFORE I add any transition or photo. Seems to happen more often after 20-30+ photos have been added. Waiting on file-saves gets VERY frustrating when the production starts to get big.

Have you tried it in Storyline view? I use a combination of both, depending on what I am doing. If I am adding transitions, there is no reason for me not to use Storyline.

I have no idea why it wouldn't work when trying to add one in Timeline view, but I wouldn't even think to add one in that view. It is quite simple to do it in Storyline view, where you can just drag a transition down to the box between photos.

BTW, I could not recreate your error in Timeline. I did not get an error message when I added some transitions in that view.
