Jean Choquette
I am trying to copy to a DVD part of my computer data. After selecting the two files which do not total more than the 4 GB permitted, I get the following message every time I click on Record "No supported DVD-Recorders were detected on your system" I have the original CD of Easy Cd Creator 5 Platinum to which I have added the ver 5.3.5.10 ungrade and the Driveup 5.4.5n and after visiting Roxio again I loaded the DriveFix_Installed suggested for the Upper and Lower Filters. I also went to the Microsoft solution proposed by Roxio but still get the same message I also once again went through Terry's Process by Brendon with no better luck. The reason I went through this DVD project is because I did not get the correct copy of the same two files from NTI Backup Now! 4 I have a CyberDrv CW058-CD-R/RW firmware 13HD and a Roxio BENQ DVD DUAL DW1610 both of which otherwise work very well. All help will be welcomed Regards, Jean
gi7omy
You may find that your drives are too 'new' to be supported. ECD5 driver database hasn't been updated in a few years now
Brendon
Jean, Your CW058 was first supported back in version 5.02d, so it will be well-recognized, but it's not a DVD driter. What's the drive identifier of your BENQ, please? Right click My Computer, select properties, (then hardware, if in XP), Device Manager. Find the DVD/CDROM icon, click on the + alongside to expand it and you will see an icon and text information for each CD/DVD device installed. This text is the ID String. Please quote it exactly. Terry's process was a cure for a permissions problem while installing ECDC 5 in XP. Your problem seems more likely to be that your BENQ drive isn't recognized by the software for DVD writing. You used an old DriveUp patch, too. (535n came out November '03. The last one was 535v in December '04). However, give me the BENQ drive ID and I'll look it up for you.
