Easy Media 9 with IE 7

staffordboy

Question

Hi All,

Having read all the various comments about Easy Media 7 and the problems with IE7 I have now got to make a decision about what to do. Do I degrade to IE6 or upgrade to Easy Media 9. In order to help me has anybody got IE7 and Easy Media 9 and found that Videowave along with DVD Builder works OK. Would be very grateful for comments as I am sure would lots of others.

I've got the 2 working together fine on 2 pc's. I installed IE7 but use Firefox but please know that IE7 may still cause problems with other programs you might have installed. There are reports regularly about how it's effected many installed programs on systems and MS is working to clean things up.

Going from IE 6 to IE 7 is "degrading", IMHO. Having read all the comments about IE 7, I can't imagine anyone using it.

But, the final version does work with EMC 9.

I use IE7 and EMC 9 and have just completed my first project using Videowave and My DVD without any apparent problems.

Hi Everybody,

Thanks for all the info. Looks like being an early new years present of EM9

You may want to experiment with the 30 day trail version before you buy it. It does not have all the goodies but putting the trial version on your computer may show you any incompatibilities with some of your hardware and perhaps other software like Windowblinds or some anti-virus programs. BTW, make sure you have your anti-virus and anti-malware programs turned off when you install to a recently defragged hard drive..

I also have IE 7 and the trial version on my old laptop and it runs fine (in software render mode). See laptop profile below.
