video clip shortened

mb245

Question

I am trying to create a DVD.

One intro movie is 26 seconds long and plays fine in Windows media player. When I add it to the project and play it cuts just over 3 seconds off the end. It also does this if I open it in the video editor so is reading the play length incorrectly.

Also frustratingly it is re-encoding the whole movie which is mpeg2.

Has anyone had this and know of a solution.

Thanks

Mt only solution was to redo the clip adding 4 seconds on to the end. EMC than added 3 seconds on which was sufficient. But the shortening had increased.

I think the codec issue is probable. I use Serif Movieplus for editing and when I installed EMC the mpg files and vob files became unreadable by the serif software. I re-installed serif and they worked again. Apparently it uses the MainConcept MPEG codec which was overwritten each time. Whichever codec is used, EMC still gets the time wrong.

Hi I have exactly the same problem. I think it is a codec issue but can't be sure. If you find out the solution please post it here.

Thanks
