Slide show resolution

revwendyr

Question

I'm a new user of EMC9 so please excuse any silliness. I am trying to create a slide show that will be presented on a large screen for approx. 300 people. Needless to say, I need the highest resolution possible to minimize blurring and distortion on such a large screen. The pictures are 5 Megapixel. What format should I save in for the best resolution results? So far, saving as a slide show (640x480) results in way too much blurring. Saving as a DVD (NTSC, MPEG-2 Best quality) has substantial blurring also compared to the original pictures. Are my expectations too high or am I doing something wrong to introduce such fuzziness.

Thanks!

Wendy

Create a slideshow with NO TRANSITIONS. I believe in the wizard the style is called Hirez or something like that. This will use the native JPG file and the JPG capabilities of the DVD player.

Thanks Gary. That's a good idea but then with the abrupt slide changes I no longer have that professional look I'm trying to project with the show. As an FYI, I will also be mixing sound and narrative on the show so eliminating those isn't an option either. Oh yes, I'll also be using text effects with quotes being inserted on some of the slides.
