Yet another backup.DRVWDDM.DLL problem

Joe57

Question

I have a toshiba laptop

Core Duo, 1G RAM, 100G HDD

Last night I bought Roxio EMC9. I had some problems installing it, this machine came preinstalled with some Sonic burning sw. I had to do a system rollback, make sure Sonic was all uninstalled. It works now, except...

When running a backup this afternoon, it said "failed to find device driver component DRVWDDM.DLL, Please reinstall"

However, it is in c:\program files\Roxio\Backup My PC\System.

Not sure what to do.

Edit: I read the post of a week ago about this same problem before I posted, but it was a different version and didn't seem to apply to my situation.

If you can see the dll - try copying it to C:\Windows\System32 and then reboot

It shouldn't really make any difference - but with 'doze - who knows really :)

BIngo on both counts. It shouldn't have made a difference, who knows with windoze...It worked. Thank you! Is the backup (it's a BUMP backup) truly a backup of my system with all the drivers, etc? OR is is just data.

Thank you!

Joe
