Hello. Just thought I'd chip in here so that you don't feel you're alone.

I also just bought the software and am getting EXACTLY the same problem.

I don't know if this is good news or bad news, but it seems others have been getting the same sort of issue. Look in this forum under "DVDit crashes on launch".

I have the Samsung CD writer that is mentioned in that thread, but unfortunately when I disable it, it still doesn't allow the software to run, like it does for others. You might want to give that a go, assuming that you have the Samsung as your second drive.

Still, it seems that Roxio have clearly been made aware of the problem. Let's hope we get to hear something from them. They've got our money, we'd quite like a program that runs, eh?!

I'm obviously keen to hear how you get on with this one. Best of luck!

I'd love to offer more than asking if your antivirus and firewall are disabled during installation, and DirectX9c

are installed. i trust the program is installed on your system drive. There may be a installation script tweek required, hopefully someone from Sonic is on this Holiday weekend.

TVJohn... hice to see you off the Liquid forum. I have the shrinkwrap version of DVDit Pro 6 and never had any issues as you described. Are you functional now?

we got him up and running.

Hi Andy,

my issues were 5.1 related. After creating 5.1 content within Liquid, DVdit would reincode the AC-3 5.1 to Dolby stereo. The large item I discovered, was that the audio and video media had to precisely match in length.
