System restore data disks won't run

bluejojosmum

Question

:) Anybody know how to get around the following problem? I successfully burned 5 disks using Backup MyPC, but now I can't get the disks to run.

The only thing that comes up on my disk is a readme text file which tells me to access the software. When you go to Roxio Media Creator 9's home page, there is nothing there to begin the restore process and access the data stored on the disks

 Thanks for the suggestion, James. However the using the Start menu to access the application did not give an option that seemed to be applicable. Maybe it's just that I don't think computer-ese!

I found I had to begin BackupMyPC and then use the Restore Wizard -- which for some reason didn't pop up the first time I tried to access it. Once I found that I was good to go.

The menu options are not inuitive -- suggestion for Roxio Creator 9 programmers: add a blurb on the BUMP section on the Roxio homepage that lets you know you can access the restore feature this way if your disk doesn't automatically load.

Hope this post helps others who may find themselves in the same situation! :)
