Add a marker at the beginning and end of section to be deleted

Click between the two markers to join them

Click the icon with "x" symbol to delete that segment

You can do steps 1 and 2 for as many sections that you want to delete. Then apply step 3 to delete all those segments at the same time.

If you are just trying to delete a portion of a segment and really do not want to use the Markers for Chapter marks, most of us prefer using the scrubber combined with Split and Delete.

Set the scrubber to the beginning of the unwanted portion and split. Set it to the end of the unwanted portion and split again. Now click the unwanted portion to highlight it and click the red X (Delete).

Just another way to do the same thing…

Now I feel stupid, so much for their help section. Thanks for your reply, Happy Holidays!!

No reason to feel that way! What is clear to one person eludes another…

V9 is the first version to have Markers so we 'grew up' using the split/delete and I never even noticed the Markers until someone posted a question about them!

Happy Holidays to you!
