Thumbnail/Button Highlight

I am using EMC 9 and running the MyDVD program. I am trying to make the thumbnails change color, or hightlight or do anything different when scrolling through the different thumbnails when using a dvd player. Right now, it is just a hit or miss on what thumbnail I am choosing when I am using my dvd remote. When creating the project, I'm sure there is a way to do this, but can not find it yet. Thanks for any help.

Good point. Although 'minimum requirement' states 16bit, I would think that MyDVD would require 32bit.

MyDVD use a predesigned template system. Button ORDER is predetermined by the order the files are added. If you move those buttons around or delete a thumbnail, etc., navigation can easily be messed up.

 

To change the highlight COLOR:

Create a new project

Make sure NOTHING is selected and choose VIEW / SETTINGS

Click the second TAB

You will see three color schemes

Click on any of the little color squares to choose another color.

 

These 'schemes' and then be selected once a 'button' is created.

There are a lot of options if you right click on the menu and select settings; including setting a select highlight. I don't think all; the options are well documented so you will have to play with them. See image.

This is probably a long shot but I had this problem too. EMC 9, MyDVD, on a laptop with integrated video. When first installed I made a widescreen dvd and the title highlights worked fine on a standalone dvd player. Sometime in the next week the highlights stopped working on any widescreen dvd I made. Standard 4:3 dvd's did not have a problem and the highlights worked fine. This was frustrating because I had successfully made the widescreen dvd with highlighting earlier. Also, in previewing in MyDVD or playing on my computer the highlighting always worked. In trying to fix this I removed and reinstalled EMC9 with no luck. I then remembered I had made a change on my desktop settings (rightclick desktop - properties). I had changed from 32bit to 16bit color. Now I put this back to 32bit color and I'm convinced this fixed the problem. I can again make widescreen 16:9 dvd's with the title highlighting working on standalone players. Just a possible thing to try? -Allen-
